My name is Abbey, and I am the founder of Abbey Mae. I got into wellness a few years ago, during some of the hardest years of my life while battling anxiety and learning to deal with trauma. I learned about how my mind and body reacted to panic, as well as how to manage it through breathing, meditation, mindset and much more. Today, I still struggle with anxiety and now a little of depression, although it is significantly better than before and I've come a long way since then.
Personal growth is now what I try to focus on, and what I've been learning about for the past three years. At the moment, I love soaking myself in self-help books and I'm learning so much about taking care of myself mind, body and spirit. I've been so inspired by blogs like HBFit and LeafTV, and I wanted to create a community like it in order to talk about wellness but also make it mainstream.
I am no expert in this field, but I think that's what makes this blog so unique, because I'm in the same boat with you and I'm figuring all of this out on my own as well. I hope to share with you about spirituality, meditation, mindset, and how to listen to your body.
