3 Books For Personal Growth

Brave Enough by Cheryl Strayed

I first heard of this book from Ingrid Nilsen, and I saw it one day at the bookstore so I decided to pick it up. As you may or may not know, Cheryl Strayed used to write in an advice column, and now does her work through her podcast, Dear Sugars.  

After picking up her book, I can see why she’s so successful. She’s the person who you go to for advice on a life well lived. Even through the paper pages of a book, it feels like she’s sitting right across from you. In a collection of quotes, she delivers inspiration and compassion for wherever you are in life. The Universe Has Your Back by Gabby Bernstein

If you’re exploring spirituality, or want to foster more trust in your own faith, this is the book for you. I love spirituality, I think it’s one of the essential components to life. It gives you a sense of purpose and reminds you that there’s something bigger than you out there. For me, it’s been one of the most lifegiving things in my life. 

Anyways, Gabby is a person who I would consider to be a spiritual guru. If you want to regain trust in your faith, she gives you practical tools for that. If you want to reconnect to love, she guides you through it. She’s an expert on spiritual growth, and she’s the first one to go to if you’re interested in exploring your faith. You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero

If there’s one book that’s sure to get you motivated, it’s this one. Jen is direct, and gives it to you straight. She’s one of those people who’s so honest with you, it changes your life. About six months ago, I was in a slump. I didn’t know what I wanted, I had no creative drive, and this book was my lifesaver.  

Jen reminded me to believe in myself and the power of my thoughts. Like Gabby, she gives you powerful tools that fast track your growth. A big idea within this book is to look at yourself and change your perspective. I think that’s what makes this book so great, so definitely check it out here.
