8 Ways to Raise Your Vibe + Attract More of What You Want in Life
Everyone knows that you live your life best when you’re happy and truly lit up inside.
But we often forget that circumstances don’t have to determine the level of our joy. We do, and it’s up to us to maintain that level of joy.
So today I’m bringing you eight ways to raise your vibe, basically eight ways to add more joy to your life so that you can start inviting in more of what you want and less of what you don’t.
What is a Vibe?
Your vibe is your frequency. It’s sort of like a wavelength emitted by you, and it’s mostly talked about in regards to your thoughts as an analogy rather than fact.
But science actually does back it up, as you can read about here. Your body emits a certain frequency, and when you’re sick or your mood fluctuates, even when your intelligence fluctuates based on a certain topic, that frequency changes. Not to mention the fact that food actually has a frequency. Real, organic food has a higher frequency than processed food, of which it would always because the frequency of processed food is 0 Hertz, while the frequency of organic food is around 20-27 Hertz.
So although raising your frequency simply because you feel that it’s good for your thoughts is a completely wonderful motivation, enriching your physical health is an unknown benefit that you can harness. Here are a few ways to raise your vibe so that you can invite in more of what you want in your life:
Start Your Day Right
I love how Esther Hicks says that momentum starts right when you wake up in the morning, because we all know that a bad morning can often lead to an off day.
So it’s time to take back your mornings. Start your days with something that fills you with joy. Esther recommends starting with a simple sound meditation in the mornings, because it leads your mind to neutral place and out of that place you can start your day with positivity.
I’ve done breathwork, meditation, yoga and listened to music in the mornings, and it’s definitely helped my days feel more joyful. So if you feel groggy and grumpy in the morning, try having something to look forward to that can help you be more positive throughout the day.
Climb the Ladder
There’s this concept called the Law of Transmutation. It’s known as a law of the Universe, which I know, sounds a little bit woo-woo, but it’s actually quite simple.
It states that negative energy can be replaced by positive energy, which absorbs the negative energy, and that we have the power to transform (aka transmute) negative energy into positive energy at any moment.
An easy way to do this, which I believe Kimberley Wenya talked about on her podcast, is to think of a ladder. You start at the bottom, a low vibration, and you slowly travel upward. You’re obviously not going to get to the top instantly, so you take your time. Each step brings you closer to a place of wholehearted joy, and with each rung you choose a higher vibrational thought, otherwise known as a thought that leads you to have more joy.
This is a simple exercise, although it will get you to a place of joy very easily. It also reminds you that you are in control of your happiness and can, at any time, choose to be happier.
Act Like The Future You
The fancy name for this is quantum shifting, based on the principle that like attracts like, however it’s pretty simple. Feeling good attracts more of what you want in life because you become a match for it, and when you start to act like the version of yourself that already has all the joy, you start to become that version of you.
You shift your perspective from lack to abundance and you start to step into the woman you’ve always wanted to be. Think about it this way: if you start to believe and act like the woman who is already confident, you start to have more confidence because you’re stepping into that role, you’re becoming confident because you take the risks you need to in honor of that future you, and in doing so become the future you.
It’s actually pretty simple, but we often get in our own way with limiting beliefs. We focus to much on the lack instead of taking action to focus on and see the abundance that we so desire. To be honest, I am still learning how to master this one, but I know that with every action that I take that’s aligned with the woman I want to become, I take at least one more step towards fully becoming her. If you’re skeptical, there is a bit of science behind this. You see, your right brain is quite stubborn, it learns by experience and once an experience shapes a belief, it can be very hard to change that. But when you have strong, possibly multiple experiences that override those past experiences that shaped those limiting beliefs, your right brain then accepts them as fact. So stepping into the future you and her mindset, then taking action using that mindset, actually can rewire your brain to form new beliefs and therefore accept them as truth.
Gratitude is often underrated as a tool to make you happier, but it works because what you focus on grows.
When you focus on all of the abundance that has been given to you, you start to see the world for what it is, a place full of endless opportunities. Basically, gratitude is an easy way to invite in more of what you want in life because you’re already focused on all the abundance you do have, and that just calls in more.
Think about it. If you’re having a crappy day, and you see all that is wrong with the world, you aren’t going to have room to invite in the goodness in life because your vision is clogged with all that is wrong with the world. The same goes for when you have a good day, because you are more open to receiving all the goodness life has to offer you.
Your passions are no accident, they give you life and tell you where you can uniquely serve the world with your gifts.
Making time for the things you love can be one of the best things you do for yourself. Many people get stressed out and let their hobbies slide in the process, but they can be so lifegiving and beneficial to your health and well-being.
Find ways to have fun and do more of the things that bring you joy in life, because you can easily transform something mundane into something joyful when you incorporate lighthearted fun into the mix.
Try asking yourself on the daily, “What sounds fun today?” And see how your life changes as a result.
Pray and Let Go
Prayer is a powerful tool that you can use to keep you in a state of peace and joy, because you can just let go and trust that you are held.
Even if you aren’t religious, you can still pray to Mother Earth or even to yourself if you find you can trust yourself easily, and know that things will work out. I love prayer because I can trust and know that my life is being worked out for the highest good, and that everything will be okay in the end.
I’m still working on letting go in the moment, and it can be a journey, but I feel that I’m getting closer and closer with each prayer and feeling more and more supported in the process.
We all know the power of music, but there is a certain science behind it that can help you lift your spirits. Certain frequencies can actually help you to get in a more positive mindset because your body itself is a frequency, it actually vibrates at a certain frequency, which lowers when you are sick and raises if you are joyful. Click here to check out more about frequency and your body.
When you are listening to positive, uplifting music, your mood can’t help but lift with it. That’s because it has a certain frequency, which can actually affect your body and raise your own frequency. It’s pretty cool, right? The next time you feel down, reach for empowering, uplifting music to help you feel better.
Script Your Ideal Day
Remember in elementary school where you got an assignment to write about your perfect day? Maybe you didn’t have that assignment, but I’m here to tell you that you still can.
Writing out what your ideal day would look like, even if that means it is today, is a great way to raise your vibe because it gives you insight into how you can take action to invite more of what you love into your life.
It also makes you a match for what you want by enabling you to see your day play out exactly as you want it to and therefore be more open to that actually happening. Not to mention that it’s just plain fun.
If you don’t know what your ideal day would look like, just think of what would be the most fun and write that down. It doesn’t have to be something spectacular to be something meaningful.
That’s it for today, I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope it served you!
